A New Home for LSG Sky Chefs
LSG Sky Chefs in Phoenix, Arizona needed a new and specific location to provide their catering services and retail space to the airlines at Sky Harbor Airport. This large scale operation required a unique 100,000-square-feet of commercial kitchen space, with 32,000-square-feet of freezer and refrigeration, and needed the project to be completed as quickly as possible.
D-MAR was tasked with site selection, design and building, and applied a streamlined approach to project management including daily communication, staging and coordination with subcontractors, vendors and clients. This close team approach led to exceptional results, creating a state of the art commercial kitchen with high efficiency lighting and HVAC, 30-foot tall freezer, 32,000-square-foot of refrigeration, with hot and cold elements completed in unison; all in just six months from permit to completion.
